This project was a new building on a central city location in Hastings and involved relating the Hastings RSA and affiliated Clubs to a new site. The design and construction work was completed over a very short time frame which meant a close working relationship was developed with both the client and builder over a period of 12 months.
The building uses commercial construction with long span steel trusses, pre cast concrete panels and coloured aluminium cladding. The buildings facilities are the main club bar and restaurant, bar and chiller rooms, commercial kitchen, gaming room, working men’s bar, a smaller ‘local’ restaurant, snooker room, VC commemorative room, offices, board room, outdoor court and amenities. The building was completed in 2016 and Clubs Hastings continues successfully operating and supporting the local community through it’s activities.
