Opening it’s doors in 1954, Hastings Intermediate was the first intermediate school in the area. A devastating fire in February 2006 destroyed the original 1950s school hall but this presented an opportunity for a modern replacement building to take it’s place.
TEAM Architects design for an inspiring multi-purpose Performing Arts Centre incorporates facilities for Music, Drama and Physical Education. As the new building is located at the front of the School, this has allowed for an imposing and striking frontage to be added. This provides a connection to the local community with the prospect of public usage whilst maintaining appropriate links to the School grounds.
Our Process
On school projects we provide high quality design and documentation services, compliance with administration and design requirements set by MoE, and compliance with Government procurement regulations.
The projects run from organising approvals at the front end to final financial reconciliations, generally 6 months after the building is occupied.
